Privacy policy

The short version

We collect your email when you ask for something. We use it to send you that thing and the weekly brief. We do not sell it, rent it or share it with advertisers. You can get it deleted by sending one email.

What we collect

• What you give us. Email address, and where a form asks for them, your name, company, website, role, stage, budget and message.
• Context attached to a form submission. The page you submitted from, the first page you landed on, the referring site, any UTM or click identifiers in the URL, your browser language, and the time.
• Aggregate analytics. Page views and referrers, collected without cookies and without any attempt to identify you personally.

We do not collect payment details, because nothing here is paid for. We do not run advertising pixels. There is no third-party ad tracking on this site.

Why we use it

To send you the file, report or course you asked for. To send the weekly brief while you want it. To understand which pages are useful so we know what to write next. That is the whole list.

Legal basis

Consent, given when you submit a form, for email. Legitimate interest for aggregate analytics that cannot identify you. You can withdraw consent at any time and it takes effect immediately.

Who processes it

Form submissions are stored in Google Cloud Firestore. Email is sent through an email service provider. Hosting is Firebase Hosting. Each of these acts as a processor on our instructions and none of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Email addresses are kept while you are subscribed and for twelve months after you unsubscribe, so we do not accidentally add you back. Form context data is kept for twenty-four months. Anything you ask us to delete is deleted within thirty days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@saas-marketing.net and it gets actioned within thirty days. If you are in the EU or UK and you are unhappy with how we handled it, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

Cookies

We set no tracking cookies and no advertising cookies, which is why there is no consent banner on this site. Your browser stores a few things locally so the site behaves properly: your light or dark theme choice, whether you dismissed the footer bar, and any checklist progress. That data never leaves your device and never reaches us.

Children

This site is aimed at working professionals and is not directed at anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will say so in the newsletter rather than quietly updating the date.
