About this site
An independent reference for software marketing. Free to read, free to quote, no vendor money.
Why this exists
Search for anything about SaaS marketing and you get the same four kinds of page. An agency blog written to rank, a vendor blog written to sell, a listicle assembled from other listicles, and a LinkedIn post stretched into 1,800 words. None of them tell you what the number actually is or what happens when the tactic fails.
This site is the reference we wanted. Every page opens with the answer instead of burying it under a preamble. Every number has a source next to it. Every recommendation says what it costs and who it does not work for.
What you get here
- Guides and playbooks across twenty topics, from positioning to payback period.
- Calculators that run in your browser and show their working.
- Templates and checklists you copy and use, not gated teasers.
- Benchmark research with the methodology written out so you can argue with it.
- Free courses that build to a finished artefact: a plan, a model, a launch kit.
How the content is made
Research first, writing second. Claims that involve a number are traced back to a public filing, a benchmark report, platform documentation or our own survey data, and the source is named on the page. Pages carry the date they were last checked. When something stops being true we change it rather than leaving it up.
Read the editorial policy for the full process, including how corrections work.
How this is paid for
No affiliate links. No sponsored posts. No vendor pays to appear in a roundup or to be left out of a comparison. The site is funded by consulting work with software companies, which is also where a lot of the material comes from.
If a recommendation here would make us money, we say so on the page.
Licensing
Everything is published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Quote it, translate it, republish it, feed it to a model, put it in a deck. Attribute it to saas-marketing.net and link the page. That applies to the data studies too, including the charts.
Who runs it
saas-marketing.net was founded by Eslam Youssef and is maintained by the editorial team. Corrections, requests and arguments are welcome at hello@saas-marketing.net.
