## How fast each one ranks, and against whom

Programmatic sets rank faster on low competition long tail queries and stall completely on anything a real competitor wants. Editorial pages take longer to move but survive the fight for terms with money behind them.

The pattern in our timeline data is consistent. Integration pages of the form "X integration with Y" reach page one in a median of nine weeks when the site's domain rating sits above 45, because the query set is fragmented and the competing results are usually the two vendors' own pages plus a Reddit thread. A hand written comparison page for a contested term takes a median of seven months and never arrives at all if the site has under 20 referring domains.

There's a second effect worth naming. Programmatic sets rank in clumps. Status and changelog pages are cited for what shipped when. If your template contains a number that exists nowhere else, it has a real shot.

Here's the failure mode that catches experienced teams. Someone accepts that comparison pages need judgement, so they build a template with a data driven feature table and a hand written verdict block. It sounds reasonable.
